From the private collection of General David Jones. General Jones was the program manager for the Skybolt program in 1962. Skybolt was the predecessor to today’s cruise missile. At the time, it is alleged that then-Secretary McNamara had ordered a "stand down" for the impending launch of the Skybolt Missile. A decision was subsequently made to launch against the orders of the administration. This binder was put together by others in the program to capture the culture at the time.
