1964 Jaguar E-Type Series I, 3.8L Convertible

Very rare 1964 Jaguar E-Type Series I, one of 6,886 left-handed driving cars of the sort made. This piece of history comes from the shop of collector and Jaguar enthusiast Lloyd Wong. The engine number taken from the cylinder head is from another engine, meaning either the cylinder head is from another engine or the whole block has been replaced. Also includes a removable hardtop, as well as some other miscellaneous parts for the vehicle. Pictures of all of the parts will be included. The running condition of the vehicle is unknown, but appears intact. The winning bidder is responsible for DMV fees. This car was professionally appraised and looked at, the complete appraisal notes will be included below. Per the professional appraisal from Joseph Troise, the condition can be described as the following: Body Topside: Fair/Good – no visible rust or significant damage topside; a few dings in the hood, generally solid body. Paint: Poor/Fair – car has been repainted poorly in a non-stock color (now brown, was red); overspray, dull, chipped, scratches, but paint covering is intact. Soft Top/Hard Top: Very Good to Fair –the soft top looks quite fresh and may have been recently replaced; the fiberglass hard top is intact, but needs restoration Exterior Trim: Fair-all intact, but dull finish, marked-up and small pits in places. Body Underside/Floors/Suspension/Frame: Fair/Good –appears to be solid and free of structural rust, but unrestored, jack damage on left side, oil leaks, rear differential/axles may have had some recent work done.
