1984 Queen City Drake Well Stag Souvenir Lockback Folding Pocket Jack Knife USA
Queen City stag lockback and original hardshell case. The knife is 4 inches closed. The handles are beautiful, gnarly stag. What looks like cracks on the front handle are natural defects in the stag. All is tight. The bolsters are nickel/silver and stamped 1171. The shield, liners, and pins are brass. The single locking blade is unused. The front tang is stamped QUEEN CITY. The front of the blade is stamped 125th ANNIVERSARY WORLD'S FIRST OIL WELL 1859 - 1984. The blade is tight, locks up solid, releases smoothly, and closes with a snap. Included with this knife is the original hardshell case. There is a minor stain on the inside of the case above the writing. It can be seen in the photo. Nice Queen City anniversary lockback! The Drake Well was discovered in Titusville, PA in 1859. Titusville became known as The Queen City because of Drake's oil well. When Queen Cutlery of Titusville, PA began production about 1918, Queen City was selected as the tang stamp of the new company.
