•• Rails – Approx. 87 tonnes
• The rails vary in length, with the longest sections measuring approximately 40 feet. The pile is located within the BCRY rail yard. Please refer to the included map and photos for the precise location.
• A picker truck with a trailer, or equivalent equipment, is recommended to be used for the safe and efficient removal of the rails.
The successful bidder will be responsible for providing all necessary equipment, vehicles, and personnel required to safely and efficiently remove the scrap metal from the railway yard. All personnel must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe footwear, hard hats, and high-visibility clothing, at all times while on site. All materials must be fully removed within ten (10) business days of award.
Important Note: Quantities are estimates and the City of Barrie makes no representation regarding the exact quantity of materials to be removed.
Viewing/Inspection: As this is an active railway yard, site visits/viewings are not permitted for safety reasons.
